Dr. Barry Saffran

Dr. Saffran is a native New Englander, born in Milton, Massachusetts. He was raised in a medical family where both his father and grandfather were family practitioners. Dr. Saffran received his podiatric medical degree from Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine in 1983 and completed his residency training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery in 1986 at St. Joseph's hospital in Philadelphia, the podiatric medical school affiliated surgical residency program.

Dr. Saffran entered in private practice in 1986 and maintains hospital privileges for inpatient and outpatient care primarily at INOVA Fairfax and Fair Oaks Hospitals. He served as Section Chief for the Podiatric Surgery section of the Department of Orthopedics at Inova Fairfax Hospital from 2004 - 2008. In addition he serves on the residency training committee affiliated with Inova Fairfax Hospital.

Dr. Lonny Nodelman

Dr. Nodelman joined Center for Foot and Ankle Care after completion of his residency training at Cambridge Health Alliance in Cambridge, Massachusetts, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. During his time in Cambridge he was designated as Clinical Fellow in Surgery at Harvard Medical School and also served as Chief Resident of the Podiatric Surgery Department. He maintains privileges for inpatient and outpatient care at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus and Inova Fair Oaks Hospital.

Dr. Nodelman's interests include bunion deformity correction, trauma, adult and pediatic foot and ankle reconstruction, flatfoot reconstruction, and diabetic foot disease.

Dr. Nodelman received his medical degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He obtained his Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Ontario. He is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Virginia Podiatric Medical Association. He was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. 
In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking, climbing, and listening to jazz
piano.
