Dr. Saffran - Biography

Dr. Saffran is a native New Englander, born in Milton, Massachusetts. He was raised in a medical family where both his father and grandfather were family practitioners. Dr. Saffran received his podiatric medical degree from Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine in 1983 and completed his residency training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery in 1986 at St. Joseph's hospital in Philadelphia, the podiatric medical school affiliated surgical residency program.

Dr. Saffran entered in private practice in 1986 and maintains hospital privileges for inpatient and outpatient care primarily at INOVA Fairfax and Fair Oaks Hospitals. He currently serves as Section Chief for the Podiatric Surgery section of the Department of Orthopedics at Inova Fairfax Hospital. In addition he serves on the residency training committee affiliated with Inova Fairfax Hospital.

Dr. Saffran is married with two boys. He enjoys swimming, soccer and baseball.
